Reading text

On Saturdays, Nadia usually helps her mother at the small family shop. The shop is not big, but many people in the neighborhood come to buy bread, rice, soap, and phone credit. Nadia likes talking to customers, but she also learns to be careful with money. Last month, the shop had a problem: the electricity went off many times during the day. Because of the heat, some drinks became warm and a few products were damaged. Nadia’s mother was worried, but she did not give up. She decided to change a few habits. She bought a cooler with ice for the drinks and she started closing the door more often to keep the shop fresh. Nadia also had an idea. She wrote a small sign: “Please close the door after entering.” At first, some customers forgot, but later they understood. After two weeks, the shop was cleaner and the drinks were colder. Nadia felt proud because a simple rule helped everyone.
